Code of Conduct for College Students

1️⃣ General Behaviour

  • Students should maintain discipline within the campus at all times.

  • Show respect to faculty, staff, and fellow students.

  • Always carry your college ID card.

  • Avoid any form of ragging, harassment, or discrimination — these are strictly prohibited.


2️⃣ Attendance & Academic Responsibility

  • Attend lectures, labs, and tutorials regularly and on time.

  • Maintain at least the minimum attendance percentage prescribed by the college.

  • Complete assignments, projects, and exams honestly (no cheating or plagiarism).


3️⃣ Dress Code & Personal Appearance

  • Follow the college dress code/uniform if applicable.

  • Dress neatly and appropriately for classes, labs, and events.


4️⃣ Use of College Property

  • Treat college property — classrooms, labs, library books, equipment — with care.

  • Do not damage, deface, or misuse furniture, walls, or college assets.

  • Keep the campus clean and dispose of waste properly.


5️⃣ Library & Laboratory Rules

  • Maintain silence in the library and use books responsibly.

  • Follow safety procedures in labs; handle equipment carefully.

  • Return borrowed materials on time.


6️⃣ Technology & Social Media

  • Use college computers and internet facilities only for educational purposes.

  • Do not share false or offensive content on social media about the college or staff.

  • Avoid using mobile phones in classrooms unless permitted.


7️⃣ Prohibited Activities

  • Ragging or bullying of any kind (punishable under law).

  • Possession or use of alcohol, drugs, or weapons inside the campus.

  • Any political or religious activity inside the campus without prior permission.


8️⃣ Participation & Conduct Outside Class

  • Represent the college in competitions, events, or seminars responsibly.

  • Obtain permission before organizing any event, campaign, or gathering on campus.


9️⃣ Ethics & Integrity

  • Be honest in academic work and personal dealings.

  • Uphold the values of inclusivity, equality, and respect for diversity.

  • Report any unethical or unlawful behavior immediately to college authorities.


🔟 Consequences for Misconduct

  • Warning or counseling for minor issues.

  • Suspension or dismissal for serious violations (ragging, harassment, cheating, vandalism, etc.).
